More "Proof" of the Obama Administration's "Competence"

Remember when David Axelrod went on The Daily Show, and asserted that the Obama administration had shown a "baseline level of competence" in its handling of the swine flu -- using it as an example of why people should trust the government?

How unfortunate for him, then, that Americans are learning about the incredible waste and mismanagement that has occurred in the wake of the "pandemic that never was" -- with 40 million doses of the vaccine being thrown out, at the cost of $260 billion.

Among the reasons for the waste, according to the piece: "Much of the vaccine was not ready until late 2009, after the largest wave of swine flu illnesses passed."

Anyone care to follow up with Axelrod?
