President Bush and President-Elect Obama (and the rest of us, by the way) stand to gain from a smooth transition. I'm told the Obama transition folks -- though admittedly liberal -- are extremely professional and competent.
At the very least, we should all take great solace that we live in a country where there is a peaceful transfer of power...
