DNC Host Committee Not Paying Its "Fair Share"

"The rich are different from you and me," F. Scott Fitzgerald famously wrote.  Well, so are the Democratic elites, apparently.

The DNC has set out some pretty tough eco-standards for those catering the parties hosted by the DNC Host Committee in Denver during the Convention this summer.  No fried foods; food should be local, organic or both; heck, the offerings should include "at least three of the following five colors: red, green, yellow, blue/purple, and white."

But the hoops that "little people" like the caterers must jump through apparently don't apply to the grandees themselves, who are taking advantage of city gas pumps in order to avoid paying gas taxes -- gas taxes that are beloved by lefty environmentalists who dream of a future without the pollution created by cars.

Hm.  It's a strange move for a committee hosting a convention that's going to anoint the candidate who has no problem with high gas prices -- or, for that matter, with raising taxes

Shouldn't the Democrat host committee be setting an example and "paying its fair share"?
