Mayor Michael Nutter doesn't want to "cut core services," so he's paying for them by taxing soda, instead.

The best part about sugar taxes is the fact that ridiculous subsidies exist for sugar producers in the United States. The government encourages its production, then taxes its consumption. And we get to pay for it all!
