Campaigner-in-Chief

Barely 50 days into his administration, with only pork-laden, big spending bills to his credit, President Obama will be doing what -- it increasingly seems -- he likes doing best: Campaigning.  He will be raising money for the Democratic National Committee.

If the economy is in crisis, as the President has occasionally told us, it's remarkable that he's still willing to ask Americans -- whom he already plans to tax more -- to pony up for his own political purposes.

What's more, it contributes to the perception -- bolstered by his outsourcing of legislative heavy-lifting and frequent rallies -- that he's really most interested (andn comfortable) campaigning, rather than governing.
