Not Worthy of Discussion?

The Democrats have done everything they can to scuttle Dennis Kucinich's articles of impeachment against President Bush.  The Washington Post reports that Majority Leader Steny Hoyer doesn't think it's a "productive use" of the House's time.

The crux of Kucinich's case is essentially the Democratic mantra that President Bush "lied" the country into war.  If that had truly happened, surely it would surely be the epitome of an impeachable offense.  And wouldn't our troops -- those who have died and those who continue to fight --  deserve better than to have the Democrats shunt such wrongdoing aside?

So which is it, Democrats?  Are you content to ignore presidential wrongdoing on an epic scale because you're engaged in more productive pursuits (like monitoring thoroughbred horseracing) -- or were you lying about it all the time?
