Feds Investigate Themselves For Making Too Much Money

Office of Personnel Management Director John Berry has been slammed by the Cato Institute, the Heritage Foundation, USA Today, and a host of critics who point to the wide discrepancies in private-worker and government-worker pay. It seems as though he's had enough, so he wants to launch his own investigation — of himself and his employees, to see if their salaries are actually too high.

Berry has previously said that critic's assessments of salary data has compared "apples to oranges," and claims that this new round of independent assessments will get down to the real truth. From the Federal Times:

...pay and economic experts from his agency, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Labor Department will review the method the government uses to measure pay — which consistently finds federal employees earn 22 percent less on average than their private-sector counterparts — and decide whether any changes are needed.

I can't wait to see what this investigation produces...
