The Washington social season is officially upon us, and Obama has a packed schedule.

Monday: A reception to honor collegiate star athletes

Wednesday: Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gala

Friday: Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual Phoenix Awards dinner

The rest of us peons will just have to gape in awe, I suppose.
