DC Schools Giving Kids Dinner on Taxpayer Dime

It is no wonder that inner city parents aren't involved in their childrens' education. Why bother when the government provides everything on someone else's dime? At what point did it become the job of the education system to provide for and feed students, a clear parental role.

Eating dinner as a family is a proven way to increase chances for a child to be successful in all areas of their life.

According to WebMD, kids are less likely to become overweight or obese, are more likely to stay away from drugs and alcohol, school report cards are better and have overall higher self-esteem when they eat dinner at home with family.
