Blago News

-Jesse Jackson, Jr is singing like a bird to federal investigators. The news is that Jackson told the feds Blagojevich tried to squeeze a $25,000 campaign contribution from Jackson and then sought "retribution" when he didn't pay up. The New York Daily News says Jackson "ratted" by cooperating with the authorities, Jackson is rejecting labels like "informant."

-Eric Holder, Obama's AG pick, left something big off his Senate Judiciary Committee vetting papers. He "forgot" Blagojevich appointed him as a "special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board" for a payout of $300,000.  Holder didn't list this on the 47-pages financial disclosure forms submitted to the Senate for his confirmation hearings. The Chicago Sun-Times and the Christian Science Monitor ar running with the story today.

-Newt Gingrich has joined John McCain in warning Republicans NOT to tie Obama to Blagojevich. Don't expect many of them to listen. This story is too good to keep their hands off.
