BREAKING: Same Sex Marriage Now Legal in California

The ban on same sex marriage in California has been overturned by a federal judge on the basis that taking away a right once granted violates the Constitution. The judge also argued that treating same sex couples differently from opposite sex couples violates the Equal Protection Clause. The case will now go to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. This ruling goes against voters of the state who voted to keep marriage between a man and woman. As of today, same sex marriage in California is again legal.
