Those Words Have Been In Her “Stump Speech” Since 1994

Senate Republican leadership has compiled a list of Sotomayor statements timelining a now long history of expressing views in line with her "wise Latina" comments.  So much for the "misunderstanding".

Here are a few.

1994:
Sotomayor:
“I Would Hope That A Wise Woman With The Richness Of Her Experience Would, More Often Than Not, Reach A Better Conclusion. What Is Better? I … Hope That Better Will Mean A More Compassionate And Caring Conclusion.”

1999:
Sotomayor:
“I Would Hope That A Wise Woman With The Richness Of Her Experiences Would, More Often Than Not, Reach A Better Conclusion.”

2003:
Sotomayor:
“I Would Hope A Wise Latina Woman With The Richness Of Her Experience Would, More Often Than Not, Reach A Better Conclusion.”
