Democrats Hope for 60 Seat Senate Majority

Yesterday, I noted that the Senate elections might be just as important to us as the presidential election.  Today, the NY Times seems to back up that assertion:

For Democrats hoping the November elections set off a seismic shift in Washington, the dream scenario is not just capturing the White House, but also winning a filibuster-proof majority of 60 seats in the Senate — a luxury no president has enjoyed since Jimmy Carter 30 years ago.

Regardless of who wins the presidency, if the Democrats gain a 60 seat majority in the Senate, get ready for dramatic changes in this country.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has made it very easy to help avoid this situation.  Check this out.
