Many Americans have been wondering why the Justice Department -- part of an administration so eager to dump on Wall Street -- has been so dilatory in pursuing any charges against former Democrat Senator (and Governor) Jon Corzine (or any other Wall Street executives in the wake of the financial collapse).

Surely it's just a coincidence that Corzine's firm, MF Global, was a client of  Covington & Burling, the law firm where Eric Holder and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer were partners.  Surely it's just coincidence that MF Global chose Morrison & Foerster -- where Associate Attorney General Tony West once worked -- to handle its bankruptcy.

Surely none of that impacts the long delay in demanding accountability from Corzine and his firm.  Nor, of course, does the fact that Corzine is an Obama bundler.

No crony capitalism here, folks.  No need for a special prosecutor.  Nothing to see.  Move right along.
