Senate Authorizes 32.9 Billion for "Greening" of Schools

The Senate just passed the "21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act," which dedicates 32.9 billion dollars over the next five years to "greening," public schools. This process involves switching out cleaning supplies to environmentally-friendly substitutes, bringing buildings up to Energy Star standards, and making sure American taxpayers are as bankrupt as possible.

“School modernization is an economic stimulus,” said Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee.
