The Gap Between Rhetoric and Reality

So let me get this straight:

President Obama's treasury secretary, Tim Geithner, failed to pay his payroll taxes.

Now we learn that President Obama's nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services, Tom Daschle, received $300,000 from companies he would have to regulate -- and failed to pay taxes for his chauffeur.

President Obama's first nominee for Secretary of Commerce, Bill Richardson, withdrew his nomination after it was revealed that his office was part of a federal corruption probe.

Remember President Obama's speech after the South Carolina primary?

[W]e are tired of business as usual in Washington. We are hungry for change and we are ready to believe again.

Hm.  Right.
