"Committees better than condoms"

When considering a bill in the House Energy and Commerce Committee that touched on teenage pregnancy, Rep. Joe Barton, (R-Tex.) said that the markup process wasn't exactly....arousing.

I think I have the perfect antidote, Mr. Chairman, to teenage pregnancy. Require every teenager to sit through one of these markups. If that doesn’t put you in a nonsexual, noninteractive mood, nothing will.
