Neugebauer: "[Dems] decided at the end that the only way to pass this bill was to use the unborn as a bargaining chip."

Rep. Randy Neugebauer, (R-Tex.) is the guy who yelled "baby killer" when Rep. Bart Stupak was giving a speech on his newfound "yes" vote on the health care bill. Neugebauer personally apologized to Stupak afterwards to make it clear that the comment was directed at the bill, not Stupak himself.

Now, House Democratic Whip James Clyburn requested Neugebauer to apologize to the entire House. Here's what Neugebauer had to say about that request:

Now Democratic leadership says well, maybe I ought to apologize to the House Floor.... for what? People all across the country know I was speaking the truth.

I wont apologize for doing the right thing. In fact, I would apologize only when they repeal this bill.

The liberals and the left might not like what I’m doing right now. But they’re not my constituency. ...I’m an old boy from west Texas, and if you want to play tough, I can play tough. If you want to play rough, I can play rough.
