False Alarm: Times Square Reopened Following Evacuation

Police evacuated a large northern area of New York City's Times Square over a suspicious package.  The bomb squad was on scene and traffic was temporarily diverted.  No buildings were evacuated.

NYPD confirms: The package has been rendered safe and the streets are being reopened.
