Team Romney: “Looks Like a One Term Proposition”

On the heels of two devastating attacks ads released earlier today by the Republican National Committee and American Crossroads, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee and his supporters are weighing in on President Obama’s (plagiarized?) economic “reframing” speech yesterday, during which he unwittingly admitted he broke his own “one term proposition” pledge and therefore doesn’t deserve a second term.

It strikes me as utterly strange President Obama is trying to make the case he deserves a second term when it’s evidently clear his economic policies have failed by his own standards. During an interview with Matt Lauer in February 2009, The One said – without equivocation – that if the economy doesn't turn around in three years (it’s been three and half, lest you forget) “then there’s going to be a one term proposition.” Well, Mr. President, considering 23 million Americans can’t find work, the national unemployment rate is north of eight percent and -- most recently -- the average American household lost 40 percent of its net worth between 2007 and 2010, perhaps a change in leadership is precisely what the doctor ordered.
