Why "McSame" Attacks Don't Work

In this story from Bloomberg, Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala)  -- an Obama supporter (and another contemporary of mine at law school) -- effectively concedes that the key Obama argument that no differences exist between Senator McCain and George W. Bush is groundless:

``McCain is the one Republican who could have been competitive this year because John McCain does his own brand independent of George Bush.''

That's right.  And the American people know it.
