Sen. Schumer Inserts Himself Into Apple Product Line

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., is apparently not happy with the newest Apple iPhone's cell reception.  So, with the force of the U.S. Senate behind him, Schumer is telling Apple they need to fix the problem:
Schumer, who expressed "concern" for the problem, says that the company needs to "to address this flaw in a transparent manner."

The senator, who serves as vice chairman of the Senate's Joint Economic Committee and the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, writes that iPhone 4 buyers, which may be as many as about two million people, may not have "complete information" about the device.
When did it become the duty of government officials to defend us against dropped calls? Seriously, New York--dump the schmuck.
