Hats Off To Rhode Island Gov. Don Carcieri

The state of Rhode Island making 81 percent of it's 13,000 employees stay home for two weeks in July without pay. This mandatory unpaid vacation is an attempt to reconcile the budget, which, of course, unions are adamantly protesting. Gov. Don Carcieri says he's open to other solutions if they can also save the estimated $22 million the mandatory vacation will provide. From Carcieri:
