The Occupy Movement, full of anarchists, socialists and communists and trained by domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, communist Van Jones and "professor occupy" Lisa Fithian, has big plans for May Day. Organizers are planning marches all over the United States and the world tomorrow.
Organizers say they hope the coordinated events will mark a spring resurgence of the movement after a quiet winter. Calls for a general strike with no work, no school, no banking and no shopping have sprung up on websites in Toronto, Barcelona, London, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney, among hundreds of cities in North America, Europe and Asia.
Organizers also want occupiers to negatively affect the economy by blocking businesses, encouraging others to refrain from shopping and jamming traffic so people who have jobs can't get to work.
“We call upon people to refrain from shopping, walk out of class, take the day off of work and other creative forms of resistance disrupting the status quo,” organizers said in an April 26 e-mail.
Dan Gainor reports Occupy plans the biggest shut down New York City has ever seen:
The announcement went on to cite how Occupy Wall Street had shut the Brooklyn Bridge and another closure of that bridge, as well as the Holland Tunnel. The release claimed: “But this May 1, we will create the biggest shut down the city of New York has ever seen.” “We are announcing these blockades now as a fair warning to the rest of the working people of New York and New Jersey who are considering joining the strikes and mobilizations of the day: the city will be shut down, so enjoy the day without the 99%!” warned the site.
Right, because nothing says "take us seriously" more than not showing up to work while blocking others from getting to their jobs. So far, 2,982 arrests have occured at Occupy events. In the past, Occupiers have engaged in violent behavior like rape, destruction of private and public property, assault on police officers, child neglect and more.
But who is the Occupy Movement? And remember, when these people are breaking things tomorrow, President Obama and Nancy Pelosi both endorses this movement.
