In the last month, Obama has been preemptively told "no" by Ohio governor Ted Strickland, Virginia senator Jim Webb, and former Virginia governor Mark Warner.
Usually people are falling all over themselves to be picked. I honestly cannot remember another time when so many politicians went out of their way to turn down the position before being asked ...
