I feel your pain, MKH. I experience this same phenomenon when I'm "on location." As much as I love traveling, I often feel out of touch when I'm on the road. I need to be ensconced in my glass-enclosed nerve-center (at an undisclosed location) with my TVs, phones, and multiple computer screens -- to really know what's happening.
