SEAL Team Six Speaks: New Book to be Released

A new book written by former Navy SEAL Chuck Pfarrer will be released on November 8, detailing the take down of Osama bin Laden:

Pfarrer will give readers an exclusive account of each minute of the mission that reveals never-before-known details in a version that differs from chronicles of the raid already published and televised. SEAL TARGET GERONIMO: The Inside Story of the Mission to Kill Osama Bin Laden (St. Martin’s Press, 2011) is the only book based on the experiences of the SEALs involved in the assault as told to the author.

Pfarrer, a former commander of SEAL Team Six and bestselling author, will take readers on the helicopter flight over the wall that leads deep into the terrorist lair describing what it looked, sounded and smelled like as the bullets flew, the helicopter malfunctioned and the SEAL team stormed Bin Laden’s hideout.  The book will also show major points of difference between The New Yorker article and The History Channel’s version of events.

SEAL TARGET GERONIMO will also tell a larger story: Pfarrer will explain how the SEALs studied bin Laden and his world.  He will chronicle earlier SEAL missions that were integral to the success of Nepture’s Spear in a way only a former SEAL commander can.

The book is an explosive story of unparalleled valor, clockwork military precision, and deadly accuracy carried out by the most elite fighting force in the world—the U.S. Navy’s SEAL Team Six.

The book will be released just three months after a helicopter in Afghanistan was attacked by a rocket, killing 22 members of Navy SEAL Team Six on board. Pfarrer is a former Assault element Commander of SEAL Team Six and author of Warrior Soul: The Memoir of a Navy SEAL.
