Pelosi-"Reform" By the Numbers
Its cost: $1.055 trillion dollars -- more than $2.24 million per word of the bill.
Its burden: 13 new taxes on already over-taxed Americans.
Its gift: 1 huge one, for trial lawyers -- requiring states to repeal their tort reforms in order to be eligible for federal money.
And remember -- all of this is to "fix" a health care system under which, in its present form, 90% of Americans are covered, and well over half the remainder could be, if they so chose.
