Sen. Banking Cmte Member Brown (D-OH) Gets Counterfactual Hat-Trick On MSNBC

Senate Banking Cmte member, Sherrod Brown (D-OH) appeared on MSNBC to share some economic insight. He scored a counterfactual hat-trick in a mere four minutes and thirty seconds--unheard of! His first goal came at the 0:30 mark when he told viewers that Republicans "threw softballs at the bankers" during the December and January hearings. The MSNBC anchors quickly pointed out his error.

Sen. Brown's second goal was scored at 1:18 when he declared there's "a lot of class warfare going on from conservatives." No clarification from MSNBC this time. First assist goes to Contessa Brewer with second assist going to Melissa Francis.

The third goal of Sen. Brown's counterfactual hat-trick was awarded at 3:59 when he assured MSNBC viewers: "We know that the New Deal worked.... Probably the fiscal stimulus wasn't strong enough." Assist from Brewer and Francis.
