Flashback: Obama Calls Reporter 'Sweetie'

I'm on a conference call with Sen. Lindsay Graham and Rep. Marsha Blackburn.  The purpose is to discuss South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler’s attack on Governor Sarah Palin today, in which she said Governor Palin’s “primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion" -- as well as the "lipstick" comment.

Blackburn remarked  that there is a "pattern that has come into play."  She referenced Obama's passing-over of Hillary Clinton and Kathleen Sebelius, as well as Obama's having called a reporter "sweetie."  I didn't remember this comment, but here it is ...

Blackburn also spoke about the unique problems that conservative women specifically face:  "If you don't fit the stereotype of a feminist," she said, "there are some who do not want to talk about your record of accomplishment."
