Dems Mislead Constituents

The DNC put out a notice for constituents to meet with their Members of Congress, and scheduled a day and time for them to do it. But when the constituents showed up, the Members weren't there. That's because the DNC hadn't actually scheduled a meeting for them -- they just wanted the constituents to come by and drop off promotional material in favor of health insurance reform. Misleading? Not according to DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse.
We sent a guide instructing people to call ahead and made it clear this was not a meeting — but a visit.
Ahh... the old meeting versus visit trick! That's a sure way to rally support from otherwise unwilling participants.
