Charmaine Yoest's SCOTUS Testimony

Yoest, president of Americans United for Life, opposed Kagan on the grounds that she "will be an agenda-driven judge on the  Court, and that she will strongly oppose even the most widely-accepted protections  for unborn human life." Yoest also provided a number of reasons as to why pro-life judges are so important to the Court and to our country.
...people who favor and people who oppose abortion rights agree that Roe is fundamentally a  policy decision, without Constitutional language to support it.  In fact, the Supreme Court has substantially modified the doctrine announced in Roe in subsequent cases.

As then-Chairman Specter stated in Chief Justice Roberts’ hearing, Roe is “the central issue which perhaps concerns most Americans.”  AUL agrees, and we believe that Americans should know whether Kagan is able to recognize the problems with Roe and its progeny.
