Cable News Killing Objectivity?

An article in today's NYT, Cable Wards Are Killing Objectivity, nicely dovetails something I wrote the other day over at AOL

As the NYT piece put it,
In a sense, we seem to be returning to the days of the party press, where news outlets reflected viewpoints of specific wings of political thought. So perhaps the invocation of an event that took place in 1773 is not that far off the mark.
And so it appears that conservatives will watch Fox and liberals will watch MSNBC.  I'm not sure that's entirely good -- but that's where we appear to have arrived...
