Good Vibes for VA Republicans

The Virginia Republican operative who told me on Friday that the party was well-positioned in all four competitive races in the commonwealth has weighed in again.  He says statewide turnout is registering at "near-presidential levels" in some regions, which he sees as a net positive for the GOP.  The Bob McDonnell campaign veteran is feeling especially optimistic about VA-02, where turnout numbers and trends look "great."  In other words, it might be an early night for Rep. Glenn Nye, and a very happy one for Republican Scott Rigell.

Other reports foretell Democratic heartburn in VA-11, where the DCCC dropped a cool million in the last week alone.

Stay tuned.

UPDATE: My source how upgrades his outlook on VA-05 (Perriello's district) to "bullish" for the GOP based on exit polls and turnout figures.
