1st Living Medal of Honor Winner Since Vietnam Tells His Story

Last week, Army Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta was named the first living recipient of America's highest medal for valor since the start of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The previous seven awards have been posthumous.

This soldier's story is remarkable. His sense of duty, honor - and most of all - humility will make you very proud to be a part of a country that produces such men, and we all should be thankful that men of this caliber choose to put themselves in harms way so we don't have to.

Kudos to Martha Raddadtz for her extraordinary reporting.

If you have tears ducts, prepare to use them now.
