Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz (Minn.) is the black sheep of his family after almost his entire extended family broke ties with him over his radical views and far-left policies.
Since then, the governor's brother has openly endorsed former President Donald Trump for president.
In a photo posted to social media, several of Walz’s family members posed together wearing Trump T-shirts that read: “Walz’s for Trump 2024.”
Former Nebraska gubernatorial candidate Charles Herbster confirmed the photo's legitimacy to Newsweek, saying that the individuals in the photo are related to the governor through his grandfather's brother. The image was shared by a family friend, who was permitted to post it online by the family. Herbster tagged the social media accounts for Trump and GOP vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and added the hashtag #SaveAmerica.

Last week, I reported on Walz’s brother, Jeff Walz’s, March 2023 Facebook posts in which he warned his followers that his brother is not the “type of character you want making decisions about your future.”
Jeff Walz, who claimed he hasn't spoken to his brother in over eight years due to their differences, said he is “100% opposed to all his ideology.”
In an interview with Newsnation, Jeff Walz said he “thought long and hard” about publicly voicing his support for Trump. However, he stressed he didn’t intend to influence the public about his voting choices.
“I was just trying to make sure my friends knew I didn't share the same views,” he said. “I was getting a lot of feedback from my friends, old acquaintances, thinking that I was feeling the same way that my brother did on the issues.”
In 2016, Jeff Walz donated $20 to Trump’s campaign, confirming his support for the 45th president. However, the governor’s brother insisted there would be no further communications with the media and that he had no plans to campaign against Walz.
