The 2024 election was upended Sunday when President Biden—in a tweet—informed the nation (and his staff) that he would not seek re-election. While Biden’s initial post did not mention his vice president, a separate post soon followed giving his “full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year.” The Trump campaign was ready for this. Senior Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCivita was clear during last week’s RNC that “every single thing that Biden did is an issue that she is complicit in.” Shortly after Biden announced the news, the ads began dropping.
Make America Great Again Inc., the main super PAC backing Trump’s campaign, launched ads that would air in Pennsylvania, Nevada, Georgia, and Arizona.
“Kamala was in on it. She covered up Joe’s obvious mental decline. Kamala knew Joe couldn’t do the job, so she did it,” the narrator says, showing clips of the VP praising the 81-year-old president.
“Look what she got done: a border invasion, runaway inflation, the American Dream dead. They created this mess. They, no, Kamala, owns this failed record,” the ad continues.

Strong ad the Trump team had ready before Biden even made it official.
Republicans made very clear today they are more than ready for Kamala.

Another ad from the Trump campaign hits Harris for her “inspiring thoughts.”

"We’re ready, and we’ve been ready," Senior Trump adviser Jason Miller said on X, noting that that the campaign has been prepared for this news. "Kamala Harris will not be able to outrun the Harris-Biden record or her radical leftist record from the California days."
