Suspicious Michigan Update Now Rectified

Update: The author of a tweet showing two screenshots of Michigan totals later deleted his post after learning "the MI update referenced was a typo in one county."

A Decision Desk spokesperson said it was due to an error in the file sent by Michigan.

The original pair of screenshots showed an update of 138,339 votes, all going to Joe Biden. Conservatives pointed out on Twitter that it looked suspicious. President Trump also retweeted it, asking "WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?" The posts were then flagged by Twitter with the warning, “some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process.”

Townhall’s Guy Benson cautioned against spreading conspiracy theories or calling losses fraud without evidence, but he pointed out that the Michigan update “obviously appears to be an irregularity that needs investigation & explanation.”

Indeed, now that explanation and update has come.
