WATCH: Rioters Drag Chicago Police Officers

Rioters in Chicago dragged police officers during a "protest" on Saturday. Violence continues to erupt in major cities across the country following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

A large number of protesters can be seen surrounding police officers and knocking them to the ground. The protesters repeatedly strike the officers as they drag the officers down the sidewalk. The large crowd of protests throw objects at the officers and shout obscenities.

More than 100 rioters were arrested during riots in Chicago on Friday.

On Saturday, the crowd grew more violent as the day rolled on, reportedly throwing bottles and fireworks at police officers throughout the day. One sergeant reportedly suffered a broken arm during an altercation with rioters near Trump Tower. The Chicago Tribune estimated the crowd of protesters swelled to around 3,000 people by Saturday afternoon.

Earlier in the day, President Trump warned on Twitter that liberal governors and mayors needed to toughen their approach to the destructive riots or the federal government would be forced to respond. The president also addressed the recent violence in a speech following the successful launch of the SpaceX rocket on Saturday.

"We cannot and must not let a small group of criminals and vandals to wreck our cities and lay waste to our communities," Trump said. "We must defend the rights of every citizen to live without violence, prejudice and fear."
