Minneapolis isn't the only city up in flames tonight. In the name of "justice" for George Floyd, rioters are tearing up major cities like New York, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. Floyd was killed by four police officers last week after they arrested him for having possession of a counterfeit bill. They claimed that he resisted arrest, but video footage of the altercation shows that the officers were clearly in control, with officer Derek Chauvin pinning Floyd to the ground with his knee pressed on his neck. Chauvin was arrested on Friday and charged with third degree murder and manslaughter. But that didn't stop rioters from returning to criminal activity on Friday night.
The following images and videos offer a shocking glimpse of what's happening in the Big Apple. As you can see, there are more violent demonstrators than the NYPD know what to do with. In Brooklyn, law enforcement have had to call in immediate backup.

Police Commissioner Shea has called a Level 3 mobilization.
Requires all special units respond and four cars from every command in the city to location.

Mayor Bill de Blasio predicated a "long night" ahead.
We have a long night ahead of us in Brooklyn. Our sole focus is deescalating this situation and getting people home safe. There will be a full review of what happened tonight. We don’t ever want to see another night like this.

Similar scenes took place in Atlanta, where a CNN headquarters came under siege by rioters who ransacked the building. In Los Angeles, KTTV reporter Bill Melugin shared that a police officer trying to make an arrest was ambushed by several rioters who began to kick and punch him, before a Good Samaritan stepped in to help him. In the nation's capital, the White House enacted a lockdown when protesters swarmed the premises. It was lifted after an hour.
