Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz on Sunday argued in favor of government-mandated vaccines for the Wuhan coronavirus during an interview on the internet show "Crowd Source the Truth" with host Jason Goodman.
"Let me put it very clearly: you have no Constitutional right to endanger the public and spread the disease, even if you disagree. You have no right not to be vaccinated. You have no right not to wear a mask," the lawyer said. "You have no right to open your business–"
Goodman interrupted Dershowitz.
"If they decide we have to be vaccinated, we have to be vaccinated?" the host asked rather puzzled.
"Absolutely and if you refuse to be vaccinated the state has the power to literally take you to a doctor's office and plunge a needle into your arm," Dershowitz said.
"You have no right not to be vaccinated, you have no right not to wear a mask."

Goodman pointed out the issues with a forced vaccine, sighting concerns over government mandates.
"I would like to see a government mandate," the lawyer replied nonchalantly. "If a safe vaccine is developed for COVID-19, I hope it's mandated and I will defend it and I will argue that in the Supreme Court of the United States against your views."
Dershowitz said that if a Wuhan coronavirus vaccine was developed tomorrow, not only would he get it but so would his entire family, assuming they "felt" the vaccine was "safe."

Dershowitz is a liberal. He's been open and honest about that. We've known it to be the case. It's why he made such an uproar when he was part of President Donald Trump's defense team during the impeachment trial. But these kinds of comments bring about so many questions.
Democrats are quick to say things like a woman has a right to choose whether or not she has an abortion. They frequently use the term "my body, my choice." Why is that premise okay when it comes to abortion but if someone chooses to reject a vaccine it should be government-mandated?
Some people reject vaccines for religious reasons. Others don't trust Big Pharma. And then there are those who have had allergic reactions to various vaccines. Not everything is as cut and dry as Dershowitz makes it out to be. It's scary to think that we could be forced to do something against our will. What he's saying confirms some of the suspicion conservatives have had over the years (you know, when they tell us we're wearing our tinfoil hats).
