As the world grapples with the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, countries, states and local governments are beginning to look at how to get life back to normal – or at least as close to our pre-pandemic normal as possible.
In Israel, shops are slowly beginning to reopen as long as patrons can access them directly from the street. Restaurants are now offering to-go orders and meal deliveries. Israelis are experiencing the first phase of their reopening, which is equivalent to the stay-at-home orders seen across the United States.
Other shopping places, like malls and markets, remain closed until the country gets a better grip on the virus.
As of now, Israel has 15,728 active cases, 7,746 people who have recovered and 210 who succumbed to the virus.
