After weeks of partisan fighting over economic relief for small businesses, via the Paycheck Protection Program, Congress sent the funding to President Trump’s desk. The president, who championed the program since being rolled out by the Small Business Administration, signed off on the additional funding on Friday:
.@POTUS just signed our latest relief bill. It expands funding for saving small businesses and protecting Americans’ paychecks. It strengthens support for hospitals, healthcare providers, and testing. Proud to have led the historic CARES Act and this expansion of key provisions.

Today, his signature will right the wrongs of politicians who once again put their needs before your own.
?? President Trump just signed the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act to empower American families, workers, hospitals and small business owners.

+ emergency relief for small businesses
+ more resources for hospitals
+ investments for expanded testing
The delay of funding was indisputably at the hands of Democrats, but Speaker Pelosi is still trying to shift the blame to the GOP:

Democrats held up the funding in both chambers, hoping that their partisan wish list would be included in the final bill, which only hurt Americans who are suffering economic distress. Those American workers will now receive economic relief through this additional funding for the Paycheck Protection Program’s loan fund.
