Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has been calling out Democrats for attacking the Trump administration’s coronavirus response—and Hillary Clinton is his latest target.
The former secretary of state tweeted out a Washington Post article that claimed the administration was “beset by denial and dysfunction as the coronavirus raged.”
“It took 70 days for Trump to treat the coronavirus not as a distant threat or harmless flu strain well under control, but as a lethal force poised to kill tens of thousands of citizens,” she wrote, quoting from the article.
She then told her followers to “Replace this man in November.”

Crenshaw objected and provided evidence in the form of three Post headlines from January and February that downplayed the seriousness of the threat.
“Denial? From the man who restricted travel in January & saved lives, while your party celebrated his impeachment?" he responded. “You may be confusing him with the Washington Post, telling America to get a grip, that COVID19 wasn’t scary, & that we should be wary of an aggressive govt response.”
Crenshaw’s coup de grâce was a tweet from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi handing out commemorative pens during her signing of the impeachment articles against Trump.

The Texas lawmaker told Clinton to delete her Twitter account last month after she shared a New York Times article about the U.S. taking the lead in coronavirus cases, writing, "He did promise 'America First.'"
