UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was in stable condition overnight after being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on Monday at St. Thomas’ Hospital in central London.
He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday with “persistent symptoms” from coronavirus and transferred to the ICU when they worsened.
"The prime minister has been stable overnight and remains in good spirits. He is receiving standard oxygen treatment and is breathing without any other assistance,” a Downing Street spokesman said in a statement.
"He has not required mechanical ventilation or non-invasive respiratory support."

At Monday's press briefing, President Trump said he was "saddened" to hear about Johnson's condition and said he asked "brilliant companies" to help.
"Americans are all praying for his recovery. He has been a really good friend. He's been really something very special," Trump said.
"I've asked two of the leading companies -- these are brilliant companies -- Ebola, AIDS, others, they've come with the solutions and just have done incredible jobs -- and I've asked them to contact London immediately," he added. "They have offices in London, major companies -- more than major, more than size, they're genius. And I had a talk with four of them today and they speak a language that most people don't even understand. But I understand something: that they've really advanced therapeutics, and therapeutically, and they have arrived in London already. Their London office has whatever they need and we'll see if we can be of help. We've contacted all of Boris' doctors."
