The New York Times tweaked its headline three times on a story about Democrats blocking a coronavirus stimulus package on Sunday.
The first iteration was surprisingly critical.
Stunning NYT headline: “Senate Democrats blocked action on a trillion-dollar stimulus plan” https://t.co/TTaBuQ4c1U pic.twitter.com/40nFsaDjCR

Then, however, you see "Democrats block" turn into "partisan divide."
Team Trump pointed out the changes.

The NY Times, once again, abandoning reality to cater to the left

"Democrats block" changed to "Partisan divide."
Who is being "partisan"? Democrat leaders are blocking a bill negotiated by their own members pic.twitter.com/poK3Xp3Hct
The @nytimes would save themselves a lot of time by simply checking with their Democrat overlords first...https://t.co/o36gZVmMzo

Sen. Mitch McConnell was livid after Democrats stalled the relief bill.

"We’ll have this cloture vote again at some point of my choosing, and hopefully some adults will show up on the other side of the room and understand the gravity of the situation," he said.
McConnell tears into Democrats on the floor. Specifically calls out Pelosi. Rare to see that on the floor, As angry as we’ve ever seen him on the floor.

McConnell:
The notion that we have time to play games here..is utterly absurd
Senate spends all weekend negotiating a bipartisan deal. Agreement reached. Pelosi flies in from California, whips out her unrelated “wishlist,” and says no. Senate Democrats then vote against proceeding on a bill they negotiated.

Jaw dropping.
Spiraling global pandemic w/ people’s livelihoods getting wiped out...and Democrats are filibustering relief bills while internally debating how this will impact their electoral fortunes. Good look! https://t.co/jtIVxha6QS
