After continued speculation about whether or not President Donald Trump has the Wuhan coronavirus, his physician, Dr. Sean Conley, sent a memo to White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, confirming that his results came back negative.
"One week after having dinner with the Brazilian delegation in Mar-a-Lago, the President remains symptom-free," Conley wrote in his memo. "I have been in daily contact with the CDC and White House Coronavirus Task Force, and we are encouraging the implementation of all their best practices for exposure reduction and transmission mitigation."
The president decided Friday evening to take a test for the Wuhan coronavirus after coming in contact with multiple who ended up testing positive for the virus. He said his biggest motivation was the press continually asking about whether or not he would take the test.
“I decided I should based on the press conference yesterday. People were asking, ‘Did I take the test?’” Trump said. “The press has been going crazy.”
Vice President Mike Pence has not been tested for the Wuhan coronavirus but said he would consult with Dr. Conley to determine if he or his wife need to be tested, the Wall Street Journal reported.
