New primary, different winner, same result—President Trump winning re-election in November, the Trump campaign said Saturday night after the South Carolina race was called for Joe Biden.
“Once again, President Trump is the clear winner because not one of these candidates has a chance at beating him in November,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said in a statement. “The President will be running on his solid record of achievement for all Americans and will wipe the floor with whichever Democrat is unlucky enough to emerge.”
He said the Democratic primaries have resulted in “chaos” heading into the all-important Super Tuesday on March 3.
It doesn’t matter who ends up becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, Parscale added, because they all share “radical big government socialist policies,” which will be on the ballot come November.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, meanwhile, said Biden’s win doesn’t mean that he now has momentum.
"After more than three decades of trying, Joe Biden finally won a presidential primary state, but this win does not equal momentum," she said. "Today’s result all but guarantees that this primary process isn’t ending anytime soon. President Trump will beat whichever socialist the Democrats — eventually — nominate this November."

Biden's landslide victory in South Carolina was a much-needed win for the former vice president, whose campaign had recently been likened to a "dead man walking" by some pundits--a point he acknowledged after his victory.
"Just days ago, the press and the pundits declared our campaign dead," Biden tweeted Saturday night. "But after tonight, it's clear we are very much alive — and we need your help to keep the momentum going."
