Sen. Bernie Sanders is the projected winner of the Nevada caucus, solidifying his frontrunner status over Democratic rivals heading into the South Carolina primary and Super Tuesday.
At 56 percent, Fox News called the race for the Democratic socialist with only 4 percent of delegates in.

After Sanders's decisive victory, many noted there is now no denying the party has shifted far-left.

Voter turnout heading into the caucus was strong, with the state allowing early voting for the first time this year. Almost 75,000 people participated between last Saturday through Tuesday. For comparison, Democratic turnout in 2016 was only about 84,000, down from 118,000 in 2008.
Entrance polls showed Sanders did well among all demographics.

There are 36 pledged national Democratic convention delegates at stake.
