Stacey Abrams Says She 'Absolutely' Will Run For President

Former contender for Governor of Georgia, Stacey Abrams, told co-hosts of The View that she absolutely intends to run for president at some point in the future.

Abrams ran in a high-profile race for governor in 2018, that was nationalized by Democrats. Abrams ultimately lost to Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) by a slim margin, in a year with record-high voter turnout and Democratic enthusiasm. Abrams and other Democrats have faulted voter suppression for her 2018 loss.

Abrams also told The View’s co-hosts that she would gladly accept an invitation to be the eventual nominee’s running mate.
