Former contender for Governor of Georgia, Stacey Abrams, told co-hosts of The View that she absolutely intends to run for president at some point in the future.

Abrams ran in a high-profile race for governor in 2018, that was nationalized by Democrats. Abrams ultimately lost to Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) by a slim margin, in a year with record-high voter turnout and Democratic enthusiasm. Abrams and other Democrats have faulted voter suppression for her 2018 loss.

Why haven’t you conceded?

“Because concession means to say that the process was fair… I am complicit if I say that that system is fair.” -- @staceyabrams pic.twitter.com/vfvrRkyvHN
Abrams also told The View’s co-hosts that she would gladly accept an invitation to be the eventual nominee’s running mate.
“Of course I’d be honored to run for Vice President with the nominee,” former Georgia Gubernatorial candidate @StaceyAbrams tells @TheView hosts. “It’s a bit disconcerting & seems really obnoxious to say that out loud since no one has asked me.” #TheView #StaceyAbrams
